Jordan Kuwait Bank Acquires Zain’s Regional Centre (The Bunker) for Management, Storage, and Security of its Data

Jordan Kuwait Bank signed a cooperation agreement with Zain Jo to make use of Zain’s Regional Center for Data Storage, Information and Disaster Recover (The Bunker), being the first of its kind in the region.  The agreement was signed at the Center’s Head Quarters – King Hussein Business Park – by both the Chief Executive Officer at Zain Jordan, Mr. Fahad AlJasim, and the Chief Executive Officer at Jordan Kuwait Bank, Mr. Haethum Buttikhi. This cooperation is part of “Zain Business’s” efforts to provide state-of-the-art communication and information technology solutions and business solutions that serve the largest companies, institutions and banks operating in the Kingdom. Meeting the expectations of its associates in different business sectors, as the distinguished partner that serves the objectives they seek to achieve. Zain also seeks to enhance digital transformation processes, by providing all the needed tools to ensure efficient operations of all systems at all times and circumstances, thus providing a greater reliability and security. In accordance to the agreement, Zain will provide a particular room at THE BUNKER to host Jordan Kuwait Bank’s information center servers. In addition to emergency offices equipped with advanced communication solutions, 24-hours security and surveillance devices at any time or in emergency situations. As well as the provision of communication lines and data linking services. Zain’s Regional Center for Data Storage, Information and Disaster Recover (THE BUNKER) is located at a 4300 sq. mts – King Hussein Business Park – with the latest communication and technology solutions, making it the ideal data Centre that ensures data protection and safety at the highest levels by global standards, through 24-hour infrastructure and service availability. THE BUNKER is located 12 mts. below ground level, built with the same specifications as a military-grade underground facility. It is constructed to the highest standards of security and redundancy requirements, giving it the capability to withstand natural disasters, missiles and fires. To enter THE BUNKER, one has to go through five identification points, making the Centre the first option for banks, companies, and institutions to maintain the continuity of their work and to provide their services under any circumstances, through the management, protection, safety, and recovery of data, placing it as one of the most developed Centers in the world.
